Why make a nomination for an award winner?
To nominate a winner for a prestigous IVNA award is to show recognition for a member of your veterinary team who you appreciate and are grateful for all their work and efforts to providing outstanding care to your pet, practice patietns, clients and team members.
What prize does the winner receive?
The RVN Award winner will receive a cash prize of €750 and a Crystal trophy celebrating their achievment. The Hero of the Practice award and Student Literature Award winners both receive a €500 cash prize and a Crystal trophy celebrating their achievment.
Do I get a prize for nominating someone?
Yes! anyone who submits a winning nomination for an award will receive an All for One gift voucher to the value of €100.
What type of nominations win prizes?
In the past the nomiations which have been chosen are those which go into detail about the nominee and how they have stood out as a worthy recipient.
Who can I nominate for an award?
A nominated person for the Veterinary Nurse of the Year Award must work in the Republic of Ireland and registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
The Practice Hero Award nominations can be submitted for any team member of a PAS accredited Veterinary practice which may include roles such as RVN, Veterinarian, Animal Care Assistant, Receptionist, Practice Manager.
The Student Literature Award must be from a current student enrolled in a Veterinary Nurse Programme which is one of the 5 accredited VN courses in the Republic of Ireland.
What is the closing date for nominations?
The closing date for entries is April 17th. We can accept no responsibility for lost or delayed entries. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into relating to this Award. The winners of each category will be announced at the social event at the IVNA Annual Congress.
